Six Flags Six Hour Reading Club began on Thursday, December 13, 2007. It is sponsored by Six Flags and only for students in grades K through 6. Any reading of books, magazines, comic books, or newspapers can be used to fulfill the six hours of recreational reading. What doesn't count is any reading the child has to do for homework. Students who read for six hours will get one free admission ticket that can be used at Six Flags from June 19, 2008 to August 10, 2008.
Children can read silently, aloud, or with an adult. A child can be read to or a child can read to a parent.
A form was sent home to keep track of the time and titles read. All forms were turned in to the child's teacher by Friday, February 22. There are 48 students who will be given a Six Flags ticket in May. Congratulations!
