A week before you go to the computer lab:

Be sure that all of your students have turned in their signed  AUP (Acceptable Use Policy)
Be sure that their user accounts have been set up.
- check with your campus librarian to see that all of your students have a signed AUP on file
- & that their user accounts have been set up

Students without a signed AUP on file will NOT have a user account set up & will NOT be able to log on to a computer.  THEY ARE NOT BE ALLOWED TO LOG ON WITH ANYONE ELSE'S USER INFORMATION - PLEASE RESPECT AND ADHERE TO THIS PROCEDURE.

Plan your lesson & check it to make sure that it works.
- If your would like help creating or setting up a lesson
- e-mail Karen Selwood at kselwood@ldisd.net or call her at ext. 1511.

For younger students, type out and laminate students’ user name & password.  Keep these cards.

The day you use the computer lab:
Check out the computer lab to make sure that the Internet or any other piece of software or application is up and working.

Go over the Computer Lab Usage Rules with your students.

For younger students, pass out the laminated cards with students’ user name & password.
- Take the cards back after the students have logged on successfully.

Monitor the students while in the lab – don’t leave students unattended in the computer lab.

At the end of each class, students should log off so that the lab is ready for the next class.
At the end of the day, have students shut down the computers.

Report any malfunctioning computers or printers to your campus computer lab manager
