    The Region 2 UIL Marching Contest scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2017, has been postponed due to forecasted unfavorable weather conditions. Please make a note of the new date and performance time:

    Date: Wednesday, October 25, 2017

    Time:  Warm-Up @ 10:30 am / Perform @ 11:00 am

    Location:  Northwest ISD Stadium

    Cost:  Free!

    Monday, October 16, 2017 – No School 

    3:40 pm – Band hall opens for field set-up & Water Crew / Section Leader Meeting (brief) 

    4:00 to 6:00 pm – Competition drill rehearsal (Location TBA) - White shirts and water jugs!** 

    **This time has been changed from the originally published times, so that our members may participate in the Kent Gladen visitation prior to the Funeral Mass at 7:00 pm.  

    Funeral Mass for Kent Gladen – 7:00 pm 

    Visitation – Beginning at 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm 

    Location: St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 1897 W. Main Street, Lewisville, TX 


    Tuesday, October 17, 2017 (B Day) 

    6:10 am - Band Hall opens 

    6:20 am - Section Leader meeting 

    6:40 to 7:55 am – Competitive drill rehearsal (Falcon Stadium) – White shirts and water jugs! 

    7:55 to 8:20 am – Dismiss and change for school 

    8:20 to 3:40 pm – Indoor music rehearsals according to band classes 


    Wednesday, October 18 (A Day) – Masterclasses / Region Practice Day / SOS Tutoring 

    6:10 am - Band Hall opens 

    6:20 am - Section Leader meeting 

    6:40 to 7:55 am – Competitive drill rehearsal (Falcon Stadium) – White shirts and water jugs! 

    7:55 to 8:20 am – Dismiss and change for school 

    8:20 to 3:40 pm – Indoor music rehearsals according to band classes 

    3:45 to 4:45 pm – SOS Peer-Led Tutoring (for Band members: in Main Band Hall) 


    Thursday, October 19 (B Day) 

    6:10 am - Band Hall opens 

    6:20 am - Section Leader meeting 

    6:40 – 7:55 am – Competitive drill rehearsal (Falcon Stadium) – White shirts and water jugs! 

    • Competitive Members: Bring Flip Folders. We will rehearse with the drill team at 7:45 am 
    • Drill Team Tune:  Lips Are Movin’ 

    7:55 to 8:20 am – Dismiss and change for school 

    8:20 to 3:40 pm – Indoor music rehearsals according to band classes 


    FRIDAY, October 20 (A Day) – CBS11 Morning Show Pep Rally / GAME DAY: Away vs. The Colony HS 

    4:10 am - Band hall opens 

    4:15 am – Call Time for ALL members for CBS11 Morning Show Pep Rally 

    4:30 am – Music Warm-Up in Falcon Stadium 

    4:50 am – 1st live TV spot (more detailed information will be emailed separately) – we will be running a competitive rehearsal when time allows 

    7:00 am – Move equipment back to the bandhall 

    7:45 am – Students will be excused through the end of 1st period to rest/nap prior to 2nd period 

    8:20 to 3:40 pm – ALL Classes: homework and prep for football game 

    3:40 pm - Regular dismissal from school 

    • Loading crew members load the trailer 

    4:50 pm - Section Leader inspection in foyer 

    5:00 pm - Membership inspection in the band hall (formal uniform)** 

    5:15 pm - Announcements, pick-up game day meals and load buses 

    5:30 pm - Leave for Tommy Briggs Stadium in The Colony (students may eat on the bus – throw away your trash!) 

    6:00 pm - Arrive and unload 

    6:45 pm - School Song from stands 

    7:00 pm - Kick Off against The Colony HS – Tommy Briggs Stadium, The Colony, TX 

    • 4301 Blair Oaks Road, The Colony, TX 75056 

    9:00 pm – Tentative departure (we are planning to leave the game following the halftime performance) 

    9:30 pm – Tentative arrival at LDHS** 


    SATURDAY, October 21 – UIL Region 2 Marching Contest - A detailed schedule will be published separately. 

    Warm Up – 4:15 pm 

    Perform – 5:00 pm
