EXploring and EXpanding Challenges in Education and Learning
EXCEL is the gifted and talented program for the Lake Dallas Independent School District. EXCEL students at every level have the opportunity to work together as a group, with other students, and to work independently. Students at every level have access to Examination for Acceleration (CBE). Services are available during the school day and throughout the school year. Out of school options are also available to EXCEL students. Some of these extracurricular activities are:  Duke Talent Search, University Interscholastic League Academic Contests, Junior National Honor Society, National Honor Society, and various specialized organizations.

Applications for the 2008 Fall entering class will be accepted through February 29, 2008. Criteria for admission include a competitive sophomore SAT, teacher evaluations, and 7th through 10th grade transcripts.
