English as a Second Language (ESL)
Mission Statement:
'The purpose and goal of our ESL program is to enable limited English proficient (LEP) students to become competent in the comprehension, speaking, reading, and composition of the English language. The ESL program emphasizes mastery of English language skills and other skills necessary to enable LEP students to participate equitably in school and achieve their academic goals. The ESL program is an integral part of the total school program. Instructional approaches are designed to meet the special needs of LEP students and the basic curriculum content of the program is based on the state essential knowledge and skills.'
