The Basics

1.  Make sure the battery is charged before using.

2.  Make sure you have more than enough disks
        - one disk will hold about 20 still pictures
        - movies & pictures with sound take up more space

3.  Put the battery in the camera & turn it on.

4.  Insert the disk into the camera

5.  To take:
        a.      Pictures – use the “Still” mode; point & shoot
        b.      Movies– use the “Movie” mode; point & shoot

6.  To view your pictures or movies, use the “Play” mode and use the four-way arrow button to scroll through the pictures (you usually have to move up from the “Menu” choice to the left or right arrows & then scroll through your pictures)

Using the Flash
Hit the flash button before taking the picture to enable the flash.  Hit it again to disable the flash.

Zoom – W = wide angle shot and T = telephoto shot/ close up shot

Display Button – adds & removes the display from the LCD screen

Index Button – allows you to see more than one picture preview at a time

Four-Way Arrow Button – allows you to move through the menu & pictures

Disk Eject Button:  depress the “push” button and slide the “Disk Eject” button to the left to retrieve the disk from the camera

LCD Backlight – Off or On – turns the LCD light on & off

Bright – controls the brightness of the LCD screen

Volume – controls the volume of the movie sound

Power On/Off – turns the camera on & off
