Field trip attendance is a privilege that students must earn. Therefore, there are some behavioral requirements that each student must meet.
1. The student must not have been sent to AEP (Alternative Education Program) anytime this school year.
2. Being in In-School Suspension more than 5 times (6+) during the school year will prevent a student from going on a school field trip. Field trips are taken in May after the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) Test. Teachers will be sending a parent letter home later in the year for students who are eligible to go on a particular field trip.
3. The student must not have more than 9 lunch detentions (within the last three 6 weeks of school) for inappropriate behavior.
Questions or concerns should be directed to Mrs. Stinnett concerning 6th grade trips and Mr. Pearce concerning 7th and 8th grade trips.
