Kindergarten & Pre-K Enrollment
Enrollment for 2026-2027 is now open!
Enrollment for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students begins in the spring for the following school year!
For the 2026-27 school year, pre-K children must 3 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026, while kindergartners must be 5 years old on or before the same date. This is a Texas Education Agency requirement.
NEW!
Beginning in the 2025-2026 school year, LDISD will offer free PreK to all 3 and 4 year olds, regardless of their qualification status under the Texas Education Agency's free Pre-K guidelines.

You will need:
- Your Child's Birth certificate (original)
- Complete, up-to-date, Immunization Record for your that is verified by a physician or health clinic
- Proof of residency (including a utility bill, rental contract or proof of home purchase)
- Your Child's Social Security Card (original)
