Research consistently highlights the profound impact of early childhood education on a child's academic and social development.
Early literacy skills, developed during these formative years, are pivotal for future academic success and lifelong learning . Moreover, play-based learning approaches have been linked to the development of essential 21st-century skills, including collaboration, communication, and critical thinking.
Recognizing the importance of accessibility, LDISD is proud to offer these programs to all families, regardless of their qualification status under the Texas Education Agency's free Pre-K guidelines. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to benefit from early education, and financial constraints should not be a barrier.
