Exciting Leadership Announcements at Lake Dallas ISD!

We’re proud to share THREE exciting leadership changes that reflect the strength and growth of Lake Dallas ISD!

Jessica Bovan Named Principal of Lake Dallas Middle School
Beginning July 1, 2025, Jessica Bovan will officially take the helm as Principal of Lake Dallas Middle School! She will begin serving as Acting Principal starting May 9. Mrs. Bovan, currently the Principal of Corinth Elementary, joined Lake Dallas ISD as the Assistant Principal at Lake Dallas Elementary in 2020 before joining the Corinth Elementary campus as Principal. During her tenure, Mrs. Bovan has led CE to new heights—cultivating a thriving campus culture and a focus on continuous academic growth.

“I’m very excited to bring my passion for education to Lake Dallas Middle School,” said Bovan. “I have thoroughly enjoyed leading the staff and students at Corinth Elementary these past few years. I am so proud of what we accomplished, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds at LDMS!”

Ashley Fay Steps Into Principal Role at Corinth Elementary

With Mrs. Bovan’s transition to middle school principal, Ashley Fay will become the new Principal of Corinth Elementary! Mrs. Fay has served as Assistant Principal for the past three years, playing a key role in student growth, staff development, and creating a strong, positive campus culture.

"I am truly honored and excited to take on the role of Principal at Corinth Elementary,” said Fay. “This school has always been a place of growth, support, and community, and I’m thrilled to lead with a shared vision of excellence for all students and staff. Together, we will continue to build an environment where everyone feels valued, empowered, and inspired to reach their full potential.”

Denise Kennedy to Lead as Director of Student Initiatives
Lake Dallas ISD is also proud to announce a strategic restructuring of our central office leadership. The newly expanded role of Director of Student Initiatives will focus on aligning and enriching opportunities across fine arts, visual and performing arts, and UIL academics. These programs will now be more closely tied to district goals and post-secondary success pathways for all students.

This important new role will be filled by Ms. Denise Kennedy, a long-time champion of student excellence and beloved leader in our band program.

“Denise has long been a driving force behind the success of our band program and a champion for student excellence,” said Superintendent Dr. Kristin N. Brown. “This leadership role will allow her to take her passion for student success beyond the band hall and into every corner of our district. Her leadership will be instrumental in enhancing the opportunities for all Falcons.”

🎉 Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Bovan, Mrs. Fay, and Ms. Kennedy as they step into these impactful leadership roles. The future is bright at Lake Dallas ISD! 💚🦅
