Lake Dallas Independent School District (LDISD) is thrilled to announce the introduction of Universal PreK3 and PreK4 programs for ALL children, reinforcing our commitment to early childhood education and ensuring every child has access to a strong academic foundation.​

Our newly expanded PreK programs emphasize a balance between play and structured learning, fostering an environment where children can explore, imagine, and grow. Through interactive activities, children will develop social skills, emotional intelligence, and a love for learning that will serve them throughout their educational journey.​

Research consistently highlights the profound impact of early childhood education on a child's academic and social development. Early literacy skills, developed during these formative years, are pivotal for future academic success and lifelong learning . Moreover, play-based learning approaches have been linked to the development of essential 21st-century skills, including collaboration, communication, and critical thinking.

Recognizing the importance of accessibility, LDISD is proud to offer these programs to all families, regardless of their qualification status under the Texas Education Agency's free Pre-K guidelines. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to benefit from early education, and financial constraints should not be a barrier.​
