Lake Dallas ISD Board of Trustees Approves New Compensation Plan to Support and Retain Exceptional Staff

staff raises

At the July regular monthly board meeting, the Lake Dallas ISD Board of Trustees approved a new compensation for our outstanding staff—because putting Falcons First means investing in the dedicated people who make our schools soar!

New legislation under House Bill 2 provides funding for significant pay increases for classroom teachers through the Teacher Retention Allotment. With this support, Lake Dallas ISD will be able to provide classroom teachers with:

  • $4,000 for those with 3–4 years of experience, and

  • $8,000 for teachers with 5 or more years of experience.

Our Board also recognizes the importance of supporting all staff members who help our students thrive. Employees not included in the Teacher Retention Allotment under HB2 will also receive pay increases, including:

  • A 3% midpoint hourly pay raise for hourly staff

  • A 2% midpoint pay increase for all other employees

  • An increase in the starting salary for teachers years 0,1, and 2

  • NEW starting pay for beginning certified teachers: $60,000

This marks the tenth consecutive year that the Board of Trustees has approved pay raises for LDISD staff, demonstrating a continued commitment to attracting, rewarding, and retaining the very best.

Together, we’re building an environment where teachers and staff feel valued, supported, and ready to help every Falcon reach new heights.
