Lake Dallas ISD is excited to announce Mr. John Laubacher as the new Assistant Principal of Shady Shores Elementary School!
A proud Falcon through and through, Mr. Laubacher brings a wealth of leadership experience, educational expertise, and a deep personal connection to our community—making this a homecoming in every sense of the word.
Mr. Laubacher grew up in Lake Dallas ISD, attending from kindergarten through graduation, and his mother dedicated 35 years to LDISD as a beloved educator. His return to the district marks not just a professional milestone, but a heartfelt recommitment to the community that helped shape his journey in education.
With over seven years of experience in teaching and coaching, Mr. Laubacher has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to student success, teacher development, and campus leadership. Most recently, he served as JV Head Football Coach at Flower Mound High School in Lewisville ISD, where he also spearheaded school-wide mentorship initiatives, instructional technology training, and student GPA improvement programs. Prior to that, he served as Middle School Boys’ Athletics Coordinator at Lake Dallas Middle School.
His dynamic background in both instructional and operational leadership positions him to make a meaningful impact on the students, staff, and families of Shady Shores Elementary.
