LD Falcon Band Has Outstanding Success at UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest

On Saturday, February 22, 64 members of the Falcon Band program participated in the Region 2 UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest hosted on the Ryan High School campus. Our student members participated in 60 solo events and 9 ensemble events.

 

 

 

We are pleased to announce that our members earned 40 Superior ratings and 6 Excellent ratings for their solo performances.

 

24 of the Superior-rated solos performed at such a high level that they were certified to participate at the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble contest scheduled for late May 2025, in Austin, Texas.

 

Additionally, 8 ensembles, comprised of 31 students, received Superior ratings and were also certified for the State Solo and Ensemble contest.

 

 

This will result in 37 Falcon Band members representing LDHS at the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Competition!
