Lake Dallas is excited to introduce Coach Hailey Winter as our new Head Softball Coach!
A standout athlete originally from Highland Village, Coach Winter played high school ball at Marcus High School in Flower Mound under Coach Christy Tumilty, where she showcased her versatility playing outfield and across the infield. As a senior, she was named Team MVP, District 8-5A Defensive Player of the Year, and First Team All-District (after earning Second Team honors as a junior). She also played top-tier travel ball with Texas Glory Adkins GOLD.
Coach Winter brought that elite play to NCAA Division I softball at Louisiana Tech University. A steady presence at third base and behind the plate, she proved her durability as one of only two Lady Techsters to start all 52 games during her junior season—with all 52 starts coming at third base. Known for her plate discipline and defensive prowess, she led the team with 20 walks that year, launched back-to-back home runs against UT-Martin and Wichita State to open the season, and posted an outstanding .967 fielding percentage with just four errors in 116 chances. Voted team captain by her teammates, Coach Winter graduated from Louisiana Tech in 2015 with a degree in Sociology.
Coach Winter brings valuable high school coaching experience to Lake Dallas, having served as a Varsity Assistant at Little Elm High School (2023–2025) and most recently as an Assistant Coach at Richardson High School (2025–2026). In addition to leading the softball program, she will also be joining the Lake Dallas faculty as an inclusion teacher.
