Falcon Discovery Academy
At Lake Dallas ISD, we believe the elementary years are where confidence grows, curiosity ignites, and lifelong learning begins. Our youngest Falcons deserve learning experiences that are engaging, purposeful, and designed to help them discover their strengths and passions.
That is why we are proud to introduce Falcon Discovery Academy, launching in the 2026–2027 school year at all Lake Dallas ISD elementary campuses.
Falcon Discovery Academy is an innovative elementary model that reimagines elementary enrichment programs into rich discovery experiences that strengthen literacy, creativity, STEM exploration, wellness, and the arts — all while building strong academic foundations and a love of learning.
Through Falcon Discovery Academy, students will explore, create, collaborate, and grow in ways that help them discover who they are and who they can become.
What Is Falcon Discovery Academy?
Instead of traditional, stand alone “specials,” students will participate in thoughtfully designed Discovery Blocks that:
- spark curiosity and creativity
- connect learning across subjects
- build communication and problem-solving skills
- encourage teamwork and leadership
- strengthen foundational literacy and thinking
- support healthy minds and bodies
This model is intentionally designed for elementary learners and reflects Lake Dallas ISD’s commitment to innovation, engagement, and whole-child development.
Falcon Discovery Academy Experiences
F.L.I.G.H.T. Athletics
Students build coordination, teamwork, and healthy habits through age-appropriate athletic skill development.
Music Ensemble
Children develop rhythm, pitch, and musical literacy that prepare them for future fine arts pathways by learning through instruments and choir.
Story and Stage Troupe
Students strengthen reading fluency, confidence, and expression through theater performance and storytelling.
Rhythm and Dance Conservatory
Students strengthen coordination, balance, rhythm, and foundational dance technique through structured movement learning.
Creativity Studio
Students expand artistic skills while learning design thinking and creative problem-solving.
Discovery STEM Lab
Hands-on exploration in engineering, coding, digital tools, and collaborative challenges.
Literacy Landing
A dedicated space focused on reading enrichment, storytelling, and communication skill development.
