Yes. Outside extra jobs go through an administrative review and departmental approval process. You may frequently see a LDISD Police Officer in a LDISD uniform working events outside our primary jurisdiction such as traffic control, community events, churches, restaurants, movie theaters, and sporting events.

Yes. LDISD PD officers are authorized to issue traffic citations and enforce traffic laws on and off school property.

If you do not appear in court or pay your fine, the court may issue a warrant for your arrest. Any police officer may arrest you once the warrant is issued.
