Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Stephanie Hamilton
Ms. Hamilton is entering her 24th year of teaching in Texas and her 20th year at LDISD. Ms. Hamilton received her BA in Music from Lubbock Christian University in 1991, and finished her teaching certificate through TAMUCC and TAMIU in Laredo, TX. Ms. Hamilton's first teaching position was at Vidal M. Trevino School of Communications and Arts, a magnet school in the Laredo ISD. She taught both class piano, music theory, and vocal ensembles. She also accompanied students at UIL competition. Ms. Hamilton came to Lake Dallas ISD in July of 2000 and held the position of Head Choir director at the High School through the end of the 2016-2017 school year. She also taught Music History courses during her tenure at LDHS. This year, Ms. Hamilton begins her third year as the Head Choir director at LDMS.
On a personal note, Ms. Hamilton has two children, Carley and Kyle, and one beautiful g-girl, Aria. Carley and Aria have moved back to Texas, and Carley is working. Kyle is beginning his second year of college in August. He is attending Collin college, majoring in computer IT/game design. He recently celebrated two years on the job at Kroger. Aria starts Kindegarten and will be a Falcon at Shady Shores Elementary! Ms. Hamilton loves baking, cooking, and teaches piano lessons in her spare time.
Ms. Hamilton loves and misses singing with the awesome students at Lake Dallas Middle School!
