Mrs. Rebecca Taliaferro, MLS

Greetings! My name is Rebecca Taliaferro. I answer to anything that sounds remotely similar to "tahl-ee-uh-fair-oh", but feel free to call me "Mrs. T" to make it easier!

I am very excited to teach 8th Grade Science/Advanced Science at Lake Dallas Middle School. I am also eager to work with a select group of 8th grade students on the AgriLife Research Partnership with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Center.

I began teaching in 2000 after graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science in Biomedical Science. After some additional studies at the University of North Texas, I earned my teaching certificate in secondary science education and began teaching at a middle school in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. As a lifelong learner, I soon pursued a new challenge, and earned my masters of science in Library and Information Sciences from the University of North Texas. I then served as a Librarian in Plano ISD for a number of years. Most recently, I taught elementary science, middle school science, and Chemistry at a university model school in Denton.

I am looking forward to joining the Falcon Family for my 15th year in education!
