Hi! My name is Monica Gonzalez. I am honored to be the new counselor at Corinth Elementary this year! I have been in education for 20 years and consider myself a life-long learner. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. I have had experience in teaching Spanish and adult ESL before successfully pursuing my Masters of Science in Counseling at the University of North Texas here in Denton, Texas. From Soaring Eagles, I now soar to even greater heights as a Falcon. This is my first year in Lake Dallas ISD and I am so privileged and excited to be a part of the Falcon Family! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I am here to support students, parents, and anyone else who touches the lives of our LDISD kids. More than my job, counseling is my passion! I love to teach a curriculum of compassion, connection, courage, confidence, curiosity, creativity, and many other "C" characteristics that grow our kids and community.
"If we could look into each other's hearts and understand the unique challenges each of us faces. I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care." - Marvin J. Ashton
