Elementary LDISD@home Information
Elementary Parent Communication
Starting Monday morning, Lake Dallas ISD will be moving to our new online learning platform called School@Home. You will be able to access this through the LDISD.net district and campus homepages.
School@Home will include links to all of your child’s teachers. On the site, your child will find their assigned work for the week and have activities in all subject areas.
- Assignments will be listed under Reading, Writing, Math, and Science slides.
- Resources will be linked to the assignments to help your child complete their assignments.
- Flex Time activities, which will include extra resources where your child can do various activities outside of their assignments will also be included.
- Links to Specials and other departments will be available to ensure all of your students’ services are being met.
You may be wondering how teachers will receive assignments that your child has completed.
We will use the Seesaw app or webpage to assist with our School@Home learning activities. Students will be able to upload their completed work directly to me (their teacher). I will then be able to see how your child is making progress during this time. You will soon receive an email with the directions on how to access Seesaw.
With Seesaw, students can:
- send pictures or videos of the activity they have completed from the Google site.
- make a video explaining what they have done
- they can even make a video reading a story to you
Teachers can provide feedback for activities that the student has completed as well as mark progress on these activities. All work will be assigned on Sunday evenings and due the following Sunday.

LDMS@home Informational Letter
Greetings Falcon Family!
It is our hope that this letter finds you doing well. As a team of educators, we have a significant void in our lives that is filled with students walking in our hallways and the sound of learning taking place. Please know that we miss your student, we miss seeing parents, and we cannot wait to get back to business-as-usual.
Starting Monday morning, learning at LDMS is going to take on a new look. LDMS@Home will be the new online learning platform accessible through the district (ldisd.net) and campus websites.
LDMS@Home will replace current teacher webpages and will be updated by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday night for the following week. LDMS@Home is organized by department > grade level > teacher. Students and Parents will need to access each teacher’s LDMS@Home site to collect the learning activities for the week. Each content area will be posting three learning activities each week. Each learning activity is designed to take about 20 minutes to complete, and there will be options that may or may not require technology. For your convenience, there is a tutorial video on the LDMS@Home homepage to learn how to navigate LDMS@Home.
To create consistency across the campus, all activities will be posted as Google Slides (like Powerpoints for those that are more familiar with Microsoft) and have similar organization. On each Slide Deck, there is a learning activity that students will need to complete, and students will then submit their learning evidence on a Google Form that can be found on every page of the LDMS@Home site. Each teacher has provided a page of additional resources for those students that would like the opportunity to access activities that will provide refinement or enrichment of skills.
Our goal is to make LDMS@Home an opportunity for your student to continue to practice important skills that are vertically aligned across grade levels, have success in completing the activities, and provide opportunities for families to have some fun in the process.
LDMS is here for every one of you. As a neighborhood school, we are here to serve you and your family. Please contact one of the campus administrators or one of your child’s teachers for any need your family may have during this unprecedented time.
Please provide your child an air hug from us to them and let them know they are loved and missed!
Sincerely,
LDMS Administrators and Staff

LDHS@home Informational Letter
Greeting LDHS Falcon Family!
It is our hope that this letter finds you doing well. As a team of educators, we have a significant void in our lives that is only filled with students in our hallways and the sound of learning taking place in classrooms. Please know that we miss your student, we miss seeing parents, and we cannot wait to get back to business-as-usual.
Starting Monday morning on April 6th, learning at LDHS is going to take on a new look. LDHS@HOME will be the new online learning platform accessible through the district (ldisd.net) and campus websites.
LDHS@HOME will replace current teacher webpages and will be updated by 6:00 on every Sunday night for the following week. LDHS@Home is organized by content area > specific courses. Students and Parents will need to access each teacher’s LDHS@HOME site to collect the learning activities for the week. Each teacher will be posting two or three learning activities each week. Each activity is designed to take about 15 minutes to complete, and there will be options that may or may not require technology. For your convenience, there is a tutorial video on the LDHS@HOME home page to learn how to navigate LDHS@HOME. There is also a Tech Support button you may click if you need additional support navigating the site.
Our goal is to make LDHS@HOME an opportunity for your student to continue to engage in content, practice important skills that are vertically aligned across grade levels, have success in completing the activities, and provide opportunities to enrich and extend student learning.
Although we cannot meet in our buildings, LDHS is here for every one of you, and we are committed to continue to serve you and your family in every way possible. Please contact one of the campus administrators or one of your child’s teachers for any need your family may have during this unprecedented time.
Please provide your child an air hug from us to them and let them know they are loved and missed!
