PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION:

It's all about the kids!

BACKGROUND:

For most of my life I knew that I wanted to work in education. I started teaching at UNT as a Teaching Fellow in the History Department in 1989, and in 1993 I began teaching simultaneously as an Adjunct at NCTC. While teaching at the college level, it did not take long for me to realize that I was missing out on what I felt was the most important and engaging aspect of public education, which is witnessing the daily life and growth of the kids. I am passionate about educating the whole child, and this includes anything that contributes to their social, emotional, and academic success. I am beginning my 21st year as an educator and my 7th as a proud Lake Dallas Falcon, and I look forward to helping elevate LDHS to greater levels of success throughout the school year.  Feel free to join us at any of the Falcon activities and witness great kids in action! Let's go Falcons!
