My name is Lena Smallwood.  I am the librarian at Shady Shores Elementary.  I have been a teacher since 1985.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Valdosta State University.  I received my Masters and Education Specialist degrees from Mercer University.  I previously worked in Coppell ISD for 7 years and and have been with Lake Dallas ISD since 2005.  It has been a joy to be at Shady Shores Elementary.
