How to attend or virtually watch athletic events this year
For all athletic events this year, Lake Dallas ISD will follow UIL requirements meant to combat the spread of COVID-19. The primary areas where this will affect visitors is through the 50 percent venue capacity limit, the face covering and social distancing requirements, and the ability to stream video feeds of games online.
Online ticketing and in-person event health precautions
To meet the 50 percent venue capacity requirement, rows will be marked off where spectators cannot sit, and all tickets will be sold online so athletic staff can track exact amounts. To purchase tickets to any athletic event, visit www.ldisd.net/tickets. No account is required.
No physical tickets will be sold at the gate. Fans waiting until game time to purchase tickets can still do so online through smartphones or other devices, and QR codes linking to the ticket site will be posted at venues for quick access. People who plan to attend are encouraged to purchase tickets beforehand, however, in the event a game sells out early. Tickets will go on sale in the week leading up to a game’s scheduled start. For varsity football specifically, families of any student involved in Friday Night Lights activities (including student-athletes, fine arts participants and similar groups) will be able to purchase tickets on Monday and Tuesday of game week before general sales open on Wednesday.
Once tickets are purchased, they will be scanned at the gate in a touch-free method. Fans can either print tickets or use their phones to display the scanning code.
Additionally, anyone attending an athletic event in person is asked to sit in groups of no more than 10 people and maintain 6 feet of social distancing from other groups. Face coverings are required of spectators, and hand sanitizing stations will be available.
Please be aware that these are not suggestions – they are requirements. The UIL has indicated that schools not following health procedures could be subject to penalties. Our students have worked hard to abide by their requirements both during summer strength and conditioning as well as regular practices now that we have resumed in-season training. Family members, friends and other fans are now being asked to also abide by these requirements so our students can have the seasons they deserve and have worked for.

Live video streams of events available
For those who aren’t able to watch athletic events in person, online streams of games will be available on a subscription basis. Streams will be available at www.ldisd.net/watch. Automated cameras have been installed both at Falcon Stadium and in Lake Dallas High School’s main gym, and events taking place in either venue will be broadcast live. To see an example of how the cameras work, click here.
Fans can subscribe through NFHS Network on a yearly (in terms of the calendar year) basis for $70, or they can subscribe for a month for $11. A subscription will allow access to all events. The same subscription will be able to watch football and volleyball games, for example. Additionally, subscribers will have access to any opponent that also uses the same service, such as when a Lake Dallas team plays an away game at an opponent’s venue.
NFHS Network games can be watched from a computer browser or its apps on Android, iOS, Fire TV or Roku devices. Streams will be available at www.ldisd.net/watch.
