Elementary schools hosting drive-through registration for young students on April 17

Each of Lake Dallas ISD’s three elementary schools – Corinth, Lake Dallas and Shady Shores – will host a drive-through registration event on Saturday, April 17, to assist families of young children with the enrollment process in a quick and easy manner.

The schools previously held a successful version of the event in February, making it easy for families to register for the 2021-22 school year. The April 17 event, which will last from 10 a.m. to noon at each campus, is aimed at families of students entering school for the first time, in either pre-kindergarten or kindergarten, though no family needing registration assistance will be turned away. Teachers and staff will be on hand to help families fill out forms and complete the registration process.

Lake Dallas ISD’s elementary schools use a leadership academy format based on the national Leader in Me program. In addition to their academic progress, students learn essential life skills and traits to make healthy choices, work well with others and solve complex problems.

Families who use the drive-through registration event to reserve a spot in the school’s leadership academy will receive a swag bag of gear for their students to show they’re new Lake Dallas Falcons.
