Ballard, Landaverde transition to new administrative educational support roles
Lake Dallas ISD’s Robin Ballard and Katie Landaverde have accepted new administrative educational roles in the district, providing support for hundreds of educators to ensure student needs are met.
Ms. Ballard will become the district’s PEIMS coordinator, a role where she will oversee reporting of student, staff and financial data for the entire district. Her new role is vital to supporting educators, staff and campuses so accurate data is reported to the Texas Education Agency and other oversight entities.
In her 20-plus-year career in public education, Ms. Ballard has supported educators and schools with excellence. She joined Lake Dallas ISD in 1998 and is well known by educators and schools for her support of educational initiatives with technology elements. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University and is working toward her master’s degree in digital learning and leadership from Lamar University with a planned graduation in December 2021.
Mrs. Landaverde will take Mrs. Ballard’s previous role of instructional technology coordinator, where she will support technology specialists at the district’s five schools. She currently serves as Lake Dallas Elementary’s technology integration specialist.
In her new role, Mrs. Landaverde will bring a wealth of experience from her time assisting teachers with integrating technology and digital resources into their instruction since she joined the school in 2015. She has also led the school’s STEAM club and co-coordinated the Leader in Me program at the school. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Eckerd College and master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of North Texas.
Both transitions will begin in the coming weeks.
