District Names New Child Nutrition Director

The Lake Dallas ISD Board of Trustees recently approved Corey Ray as the district’s Director of Child Nutrition.

With over eight years of experience in student nutrition leadership, Ray has held significant roles in various neighboring districts.

He started his professional career in 2012 as a Facilities Unit Controller for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From there he served McKinney ISD as the Child Nutrition Unit Controller, where he managed the financial functions of the department, rolled out innovative inventory systems and created collaborative opportunities for cafeteria managers.

Ray later moved to Gainesville ISD to serve as the Food Service Director, and in 2020 he joined Lewisville ISD where he held roles such as Assistant Food Service Director, Food Service Director and Senior Financial Controller, demonstrating his commitment to the field of child nutrition.

Ray received his master's degree in Kinesiology and bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, both earned from Sam Houston State University.
