Lake Dallas ISD Parents Launch Falcon Proud To Promote Success Of Students & Urge Volunteerism In District
With the growing community support and excitement for Lake Dallas ISD (LDISD), school parents have joined teachers and administrators to launch Falcon Proud, a campaign led by volunteers to promote the successes of LDISD students and teachers, and recruit additional community involvement in the classrooms.
Superintendent Dr. Gayle Stinson, a Lake Dallas native who joined the Falcon family more than a decade ago understands firsthand the immense pride residents have in the school district. She sees Falcon Proud as a positive opportunity to unite the community behind students and teachers, and to provide additional volunteer opportunities.
“It’s not just the parents and teachers who understand the importance of our special school district, and the positive impact it has on the success of our community,” said Dr. Stinson. “Falcon Proud provides a wonderful opportunity for citizens across our district to show their support and volunteer in our classrooms.”
At the football game on Friday evening, Falcon Proud was unveiled to the LDISD community. Lake Dallas High School cheerleaders threw Falcon Proud branded t-shirts into the stands while hundreds of people signed up to join the support group at a display in the stadium. In addition, parents, grandparents, teachers and students showcased their Falcon Pride by taking photographs in front of a large background featuring the Falcon Proud logo.
“We are Falcon Proud because we have dedicated teachers, eager students and committed parents working to maintain the high academic standards that have defined Lake Dallas ISD for generations,” added Judy Graham, Former Trustee for Lake Dallas ISD.
