Lake Dallas High Receives Best Schools Ranking
Lake Dallas ISD is proud to announce that Lake Dallas High School placed on the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best High Schools” ranked list for 2019.
“The Lake Dallas ISD School Board continuously sets forth a mission for our district to develop a future focused curriculum, and it is always an honor to see the students and teachers recognized for reaching those goals,” Dr. Kristi Strickland, LDHS Principal said. “Lake Dallas High School remains committed to offering a student-focused education that drives our vision of transforming today's generation into tomorrow’s leaders. Recognition by such a prestigious organization only reaffirms that we are on the right track.”
The publication analyzed more than 17,000 schools across the country based on college readiness, college curriculum breadth, math and reading proficiency and performance, underserved student performance and graduation rate.
Schools that rank in the top 40 percent are placed on the “Best High School” list, which means they have permission from the U.S. News & World Report to display the media organization’s best high school badge of honor.
This is the first year U.S. News has ranked all public high schools in each state.
“By evaluating more schools than ever before, the new edition expands that focus so all communities can see which schools in their area are successfully serving their students — including historically underserved populations,” Anita Narayan, managing editor of education at U.S. News, said in a press release.
